Maternity

A thousand suns a thousand thoughts,
like a thousand beats of heart
dedicati a nutrire un'altra vita
thus equal to its
yet so different.
A thousand fears, thousand hopes,
thousand years of self-denial
for that wonderful butterfly
that, receives about poi,
fly somewhere,
leaving thousands of unbridgeable gaps,
a thousand incomprehensible silence
and a thousand sweet memories.
